Zezima's Runescape Life - The Real Zezima

Zezima is a legendary Runescape player whose name has been ornamenting the number 1 position of the Runescape hiscores for several years. These past achievements have made him the most known Runescape player throughout history. Even though he is no longer on top of the game he is still the name on everybodys lips. His chat goes crazy when he turns it on and whenever he enters the game he is followed by hundreds of players as you can see in the following videos:
By overall XP count he is at the moment on 5th place with 1.200M+ XP which is over 500M below the current number 1 - Gertjaars. By overall rating he is only on 256th place and this is largely due to his "modest" Summoning level of 95. He is not number one in any individual skill either. His thieving and cooking are his top skills which both are at 5th place in overall ranking. Zezima started playing Runescape in July 2001 which was pretty much at the dawn of time in so far as Runescape. He set out to reach the number one position from very early one and he attained his first number one position in 2003. From that point on a number of players started to chase him at his heels and he was passed by Choppermad when the new skill Runecrafting was released by the end of 2003. Zezima has in fact always been a convervative player with less passion than the runner ups for new skills released by Jagex. Throughout 2005 he was chased by, passed by and chasing Lilyuffie88 but in the end he won the close struggle. After leaving her behind he remained the number one for over a year. His first downswing after that came in late 2006 when he got passed by N0valyfe and true to the tradition this happened when the new skill constuction was released.
In 2007, Zezima made new Runescape history by being the first players to break the 1 Billion XP barrier. Before that he had kept his XP at 999,999,999 for quite some time, relishing the flavour of the numbers.
There is more to the legendary Zezima than just the chase of the number one position in the hiscores. On August the 9th 2006 Zezima broke broke new online barriers when he married the female player Elianestp in-game. The marriage took place in his own house with a selected number of players attending the ceremony. His house portal was closed to uninvited players. Among the invited guests were some Jagex moderators who helped make the whole thing happen.
The event also stirred some rumours about Zezima seeing Elianestp in real life. Rumours that eventually were confirmed by a post of hers on the mystery forums:
"To clear everything up, yes, me and Zez are seeing each other irl :) Some of you might not believe in RS weddings, but if you knew us, and saw how crazy we are about eachother online, and even more in person... maybe your opinions would change. But hey, we're all different and we all have different values :P"
Some people even speculated that it was not Zezimas first but second marriage in-game and that he had dumped his first wife because she was not good at PKing. Zezima had in fact been seeing a girl with the nick Ju1es before Elianestp but they never got married and Zezima has never been much of a PKer himself so it was largely a baseless speculation.
Since the release of the Summoning skill in 2008, Zezima has not been chasing the number one position as intensively as he used to and he is currently lagging behind but you never know with this guy. He just might make a run for it again. After loosing his grip on Runescape in 2008 he tried to attain top position in several funorb games during 2008 but it was an impossible task that he eventually gave up on. It is in any event confirmed that Zezima became a player moderator in april 2009 so he definitely has not given up on Runescape yet.
Other than that you should know that Zezima has done only one interview throughout history and it contains some interesting facts:
The real name of the player that controls Zezima is Peter Zezima. He is a biology/psychology student from NY, USA. His favourite skill is smithing and he rarely posts on the official forums due to all the spam that he receives. When he plays with private chat on it looks like Falador World 2 multiplied by 10. |
